Strange and beautiful…

Inspired by the song ‘Strange and beautiful’ by Aqualung

When early spring puts on her coat

The season to foretell,

You come in purple splendor

To grace her wide lapel.

From my all time favorite book of poems, ‘The Wildflower’ by Bette Woolsey Castro. And now, how the song and book inspired me to create something of my own. Hope you’ll enjoy!

Let me stay

Strange and beautiful…

With lilting petals and wings

A Wildflower that I am,

Lost in its blossom and bloom,

In its uplifting  fragrance.

Never underestimate the importance of small things

Great things are done by a series of small things brought together- Vincent Van Gogh

And how the thought came. The thought being, of never underestimating the ‘small things’ in life. The realization that after all atoms are the building blocks of LIFE. How ‘effort’, no matter how ‘small’ it is, will lead to ‘success’. The realization came to me, through a series of thoughts. First, after having read, ‘The God of Small things’

To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never to forget.” –  Arundhati Roy

You are a child of this Universe

“You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.”- Max Ehrmann

Look around

and you’ll see

This breathing,

It teaches

you so much.

So breath

dear child.

Dance to this aubade

Of Silence

Let it rock your Soul

To comfort.
