For Nepal, for Sabeen Mahmud, for you, for me, for us…

“Promise Yourself

To be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity
to every person you meet.”

Christian D. Larson, Your Forces and How to Use Them

Suffering, cruelty and torture,

Wherever I look I see only

Wet eyes and swollen cheeks.

I hear Silence howl when

Peace is no longer peace

But horror.

What has life come to?

What has it become over the past two decades?

What will it be like the next decade and the one after it?

It seems like Hurricanes, Storms and Tornadoes have aggravated;

The drama each one of us has been holding at our hearts for such a long time

And are now fiercely throwing it out of ourselves.

I want to scream but cannot scream

I want to shout and ask

Him what part I am to play in this chaos.

I want to rip apart my heart

Scratch these white walls

Bite my very own flesh.

Tell me

Dear God

Why such helplessness and misery?

Answer me,

Dear god

Where have we gone wrong?

The earth is burdened

The ground is breaking

There is utter chaos in every part of the world.

Has the Time come?

Is this it?

Is this the end?

P.S-

Stay strong dear Nepal.

Thank you Sabeen Mahmud for T2F, for everything you’ve done for the youth.

vivid images of a thousand Storms

This happened when I got a beautiful image of a seashell rising with water, tossed by the fierce waves of an ocean. Don’t know if I’ve done justice to the thought, but this is what I got down on paper.

“Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.”
Lao Tzu

Not any Seashell

But a Seashell,

With deep

Crevices and a

Hard, outer-shell.

A Seashell

With an empty

Song,

Vivid images of

A thousand

Storms.

A Seashell that has always

Played with high

Tides of Wild,

Fierce Oceans.

A Seashell carrying

A restless, indomitable

Spirit.
